This is an outstanding macro, I'm assuming it is a crop The color manipulation subdues the impact to a degree. Monarchs are not very patient when it comes to posing for their photograph so you indeed were very fortunate with this particular beast gaining the point of focus precisely on the head. My first thought is "hi contrast B&W" but you approach expresses your originality. Not much else to add for this, except that the rest of your Gallery is very nice. Keep doing what your doing,
Critiques must be one hundred words or more, a foolish requirement where 25 might do just as well. I suppose I could repeat, "Its Pretty" fifty times.

This profile is exceptional!!  With the head in full focus, you can see the dark black, tubular proboscis (the mouthpart they use to suck up nectar) in its coiled, resting position with just half of a loop sticking out.  Well done!! Clap
